The boy front right is not me as I left home to join the RAF in 1947. Must be another Geo Sutherland. I don't recognise Shirley Mackenzie either!

Sadly, the George Sutherland in this pic suffered a fatal accident while working on the Distillery when it was being built. George was a promising footballer and I think he was on the brink of a profesional career (early 1960s?).

Billy, the George Sutherland that had the accident was "Pico". Do you think this is him or is this another George Sutherland?

I worked at the smelter at Invergordon while it was being built. In August 1970 on a Sunday afternoon 'Pico' died as a result of an accident while painting the outside of one of the carbon plant silos. I'm afraid I remember it well as I had watched him and a colleague that morning as they raised the cradle on which they worked from. I believe one end of the cradle gave way and he fell to his death.
