A group picture taken probably during the First World War at a guess. Any information would be useful.

I am a cousin of Bruce George - my mother was Irene George (daughter of William George) who married Roy Darbishire. I also spent time at Letterewe upon our return to Scotland after WW2, when my sister and I were in USA 1941-45.

My great grandmother's sister was called Mary Allingham, born in Sligo in the mid/late 1860s. She married William George of Invergordon in 1891 at Belfast. I believe William and Mary George had seven or eight children, two of whom, Mary Williamina and Robert, were twins. If anyone has any photographs of the George family I should be interested to see them.

My grandfather, William George, was the Town Clerk and Registrar of Invergordon for many years.
I was born in Invergordon on 9th June 1928 at a house named (at that time) Letterewe, next to the old Officers Club, in the road that ran along the north side of the railway line from the station. Before moving to Letterewe my Grandfather and his family lived in Invergordon Castle (rented I presume). I have a photo of them all on the front steps.
