Bolckow's Bust, Albert Park

Bust of HWF Bolckow in Albert Park. I seem to remember this being in an alcove on the lodge next to the main entrance.

Comments:
Public statues are very vulnerable, some people nick them for scrap (copper prices are sky high at the moment) I notice the plaque at the bottom is missing. These things need protecting however that grill is completely OTT, a fitted piece of toughened glass would be a better option.
Also I notice that damage seems to have been done to the lapel near the button. Does any one know if this is the original or a cast? if it is original then it should be housed inside a building and replaced with a cast.

Yes, it was in an alcove next to the park lodge and obviously back then our local hooligans had a little more respect for these things. I agree that it should be inside somewhere line the Dorman Museum.
