That was a plumbers warehouse, across the road in ,my day was Val,s health food shop, and at the other end was Chris,s barber shop and Angies chippie, circa early 70's.. In the baths every night, cos that bloody tin bath ,was cold ..... The firewood in our house at that time , came from us latch-key kids ,nicking it from the building site, what is now ,the Cleveland centre!

Martin, I lived at Number 19 Davison Street, and like you were a latch street kid and in the baths everyday, I remember the chippie and I lived next to the health shop and my sister Joyce lived in the next house to the health shop in Thorn Street. We were all forced out about 1970 to go and live in Redcar such a shame it was a great place as a kid growing up in Davison Street, went to Fleetham Street School, good memories
