The Club Marimba was one Teesside's earliest nightclubs and was situated on Newport Road. It is currently called the Arena but had many names in between including the Rock Garden and LaRoche.

I was a Marimba bunny and still have my suit! Turquoise lurex,I also have my bunny Christmas skirt which is used every year since 1966 to adorn the base of my Christmas tree. I remember some great stories from then, being as I was, a naive Convent girl, just out of school.

My dad John Rymer was a door attendant at the marimba for many years and tells us so many stories about the stars he met there
